My name is Harvey Lisker and I consider Surfside, FL my home even though I moved to California many years ago. Now in my post retirement years I realize how important those years were, to me personally and to all residents in general.
That's my life partner, spouse Dorie (now age 95) who lived in Surfside for at least 50 years. Together we cruised the world teaching adults to use computers while having fun, we taught seniors at Florida International University, and had a great time in Surfside.
I was asked to join the team of investigators who wanted to solve the Kidnap of Surfside, Florida resident, Danny Goldman. The following is my description of how our team was founded by former 20 year Mayor of Surfside, Fl- Attorney Paul Novack.
Surfside Florida is a wonderful community. There is no place like it, even with politicans who keep trying to change the character of a one square mile utopia.
Traditionally, Surfside has been one of America's leading small towns. It has had many great times, with outstanding achievements led by honorable and effective leaders. The community is diverse, family oriented, and prioritizes neighborhood character, scale, and safety.
Surfside has also had its share - or more - of dishonorable leadership and catering to special interests and greed.
